Scope of services

We provide garden design, installation and maintenance services. The scope of each project is set out in the written layout or quotation agreed with you. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.

Weather and programme delays

Ground preparation, turf laying, seeding, planting and hard landscaping are weather-dependent. Where conditions make it impossible to carry out work to a proper standard, we will reschedule. Weather-related delay is not a breach of these terms and does not change the agreed price.

Fees, payment and refunds

Fees are confirmed in writing before work begins. Design consultations are charged at the published fee. Materials ordered specifically for your project may not be refundable once ordered, because they are supplied to your specification. Where a project is cancelled before work starts, we refund any amount paid above the cost of design work already carried out and any non-returnable materials already ordered. Cancellation terms are confirmed in writing with each quotation.

No guarantee of results or establishment

We carry out the work to the agreed specification. We cannot guarantee that plants, turf or seeded areas will establish or thrive, because this depends on weather, soil conditions, watering and care after handover. We will return to correct failures attributable to our workmanship within the agreed period.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
